Kerstin Hartmann , also Kerstin Silke Hartmann and Kerstin Hartmann-Butt , (* 1960 ) is a German translator .

Life

Kerstin Hartmann studied Scandinavian Studies , Sinology and Literature . She lived abroad for several years. a. in Norway and Australia . She also completed advanced training in the field of therapy. She works as an interpreter for the languages Norwegian , Swedish and Danish , as a lecturer for Norwegian language and regional studies, and leads conferences for intercultural learning . Since 1987 she has published translations of fiction - mainly in the field of crime fiction - and non-fiction from Norwegian into German .

Kerstin Hartmann is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.
