Kessai note
Kessai Hesa Note (born August 7, 1950 in Airok on the Ailinglaplap Atoll) was President of the Marshall Islands from 2000 to 2008 . He is a member of the United Democratic Party .
Note was first elected to office by the Pacific State Parliament in 2000. In January 2004 he was confirmed in office with 20: 9 votes against his challenger Justin deBrum . On January 7, 2008, Litokwa Tomeing was elected as his successor by parliament.
In January 2016, he briefly served as Foreign Minister in President Casten Nemra's cabinet .
