Ruben Zackhras
Ruben Zackhras (born December 4, 1947 at the Ailinglaplap -Atoll) was acting president of the Marshall Islands from October 21 to November 2, 2009 . Zackhras was Minister of Health of the Marshall Islands under President Amata Kabua and was also a member of Litokwa Tomeing's cabinet .
Zackhras is a member of the United People's Party (UPP). After a vote of no confidence in Litokwa Tomeing, he was appointed President of Parliament until a successor was elected. Jurelang Zedkaia was elected President of the Marshall Islands on October 26, 2009 and sworn in on November 2.
