Playgrounds

The 115,000 m² amusement park offers play facilities, especially for children. He calls himself a hands-on adventure park and sets his priorities on play facilities such as slides or climbing opportunities where the children can be active themselves. Classic rides are not available.

It is usually open from the beginning of April to mid-October, depending, among other things, on the Easter and autumn holidays.

history

The name Ketteler comes from the kettle hook , which can be found in the coat of arms of the von Ketteler family , as shown in Lüdinghausen Castle above the fireplace in the knight's hall . The von Kettelers were a knightly family and eligible for state assembly .

The first documented mention of the farm and the family dates from 1498. Around 1800 there was a pub on the farm. In 1870, Heinrich Ketteler, the last male descendant of the family, died. His sister Henriette, a married Schulze Robert, inherited the farm and leased it on. In 1954 the Schulze Robert family expanded it into an excursion restaurant, which was converted into an amusement park in 1969 to initially 75,000 m². The park has been expanded regularly since then.

In the summer of 2015, construction work began on an attached indoor playground , which is to be open all year round. The facility is designed to attract guests regardless of the weather. The opening took place on April 1st, 2017.
