Kevin Conroy (born November 30, 1955 in Westbury , New York State ) is an American actor and voice actor .

Life

Conroy, who attended school with Christopher Reeve , received a full scholarship from the Juliards Drama Division at the age of 17 . Here he met the actor John Houseman , among others .

After graduating in 1978, Conroy toured with the acting groups The Acting Company and Houseman's Acting Group before joining Deathtrap 's international tour in 1979 .

In 1980 Conroy was hired for the soap opera Another World . However, he soon missed the theater and so accepted an engagement at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego , California . Here he played in plays by Shakespeare such as Hamlet and A Midsummer Night's Dream . From 1981 to 1989 he appeared in various modern and classical plays, including the Broadway productions Eastern Standard and Lolita .

Conroy returned to television in 1985 and played the male lead in the television film Covenant , he also had regular guest appearances in series such as Ohara (1987), and Tour Of Duty (1987-1988).

In addition to appearances in various television films, he is known as the voice of Batman in the Batman animated series , the animated films for this series that were released from 1992 to 2004 . He also spoke the Batman in the cartoon series The Justice League , Batman of the Future , Superman / Batman: Public Enemies and Superman / Batman: Apocalypse .
