Kevin Michael Cosgrove (born January 6, 1955 - September 11, 2001 in New York ) was an American executive and vice president of Aon Corporation . Cosgrove was among 175 Aon employees who died in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks .

9-1-1 call

He became known through the so-called "9-1-1 call" when Cosgrove tried to get his family to the last together with two other men on the 105th floor in the World Trade Center, WTC 2 (the southern tower) above the World Financial Center Times to call. The interview took place in John Ostaru's office. During the call, a certain Doug Cherry was also mentioned. He said to the operator: “My wife thinks I'm fine. I called her and said that I would leave the building and that I was fine and then BANG! ”. Cosgrove's last words were, “Hello. We look into ... we are facing the financial center. Three of us. Two broken windows. ”A few seconds later he shouted,“ Oh God! Oh! “When the connection was broken and the tower collapsed.

His remains were later found in the rubble. He was buried on September 22, 2001 in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Huntington , New York.

Kevin Cosgrove lived on Long Island , leaving behind his wife, teacher Wendy Cosgrove, and three children.
