Kevin Larrea , full name Kevin Axel Larrea Alzamendi , (born April 19, 1996 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.84 meter tall goalkeeper Larrea was active for Litoral de Paysandú from 2009 to 2012. He has played for the Defensor Sporting youth team since 2012 . He has been part of the squad of the first division team since the Clausura 2016 at the latest and was there for the first time in the match against Danubio FC at the end of February that year , but without being used. In early July 2016, he moved on loan to the first division promoted Boston River . There Larrea finally made his debut in the Primera División on September 4, 2016 , when he was called into the starting line-up by coach Alejandro Apud on matchday two of the 2016 season in a 5-1 away win against River Plate . During the 2016 season he was used once (no goal) in the league.

National team

Larrea completed nine caps for Uruguay's U-17 team from 2012 to 2013 . With this he took part in both the U-17 South American Championship 2013 and the U-17 World Championship 2013 and reached 4th place and the quarter-finals with the team. In the course of the tournament he was not used, but received the red card in the continental competition as a substitute in the game against Chile.
