Kevin Leitner (born December 1, 1989 in Haslach (Wangen im Allgäu) ) is a German chef .

Career

After his training (2006–2009) at the Gasthof zum Hirsch in Neukirch (Bodenseekreis) , Leitner worked from 2010 to 2012 in Geisel's vinotheque in Munich and then in the gourmet restaurant Königshof in the Hotel Königshof with Martin Fauster as head chef. From 2013 to 2014 he worked in the BNM Restaurant in the Bavarian National Museum in Munich. In 2014 Leitner went to Berlin , where he cooked for Hendrik Otto in the star restaurant Lorenz Adlon in the Hotel Adlon until 2015 . From 2016 to 2017 he worked for Dirk Hoberg in the 2-star restaurant Ophelia of the Hotel Riva in Konstanz .

Leitner took on his first position as head chef in the old law firm in Wangen, where he worked from 2017 to 2018. Since March 2019, Leitner has been head chef at the s'Äpfle restaurant in the Seehotel Villa Linde in Bodman-Ludwigshafen , which was immediately awarded a star in the 2020 Michelin Guide 11 months after its opening under his management .

Awards

Under his leadership, the s'Äpfle restaurant was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide. The restaurant guide Gusto rates the s'Äpfle with 8 out of 10 possible pans.
