Kevin Maguire (* 1960 ) is an American comic artist and writer , best known for his work on the DC comic series Justice League ( JLA ) in the late 1980s . He mostly worked with the authors Keith Giffen and JM DeMatteis , often with Fabian Nicieza .

He later drew the first three parts of the four-part prestige miniseries "The Adventures of Captain America -Sentinel of Liberty" ( Marvel Comics ; German edition by Panini ) and designed a variety of covers for several series. In 1997 Trinity Angels ( Acclaim Entertainment ) appeared, the first series in which he not only worked as a draftsman, but also as a scenarioist .

Kevin Maguire now mainly draws and writes mini-series and special issues .

In 2004, he and Giffen, DeMatteis and Joe Rubinstein received the Eisner Award in the Best Humor Publication category for the six-part miniseries " Formerly Known as the Justice League ".
