Kharkiv Airlines ( Ukrainian Авіалінії Харкова ) was a Ukrainian airline based in Kharkiv . The airline is part of Oleksandr Yaroslavsky's Development Construction Holding (DCH) .

history

Kharkov Aviation Enterprise was founded in 1992 as the Ukrainian subsidiary of Aeroflot and flew under the name until 1998. From 1998 to 1999 the airline flew under the name Air Kharkov. Between 1992 and 1999 the airline owned a total of 17 aircraft from the former Soviet Union ( Antonov An-24 , Antonov An-26 and Tupolev Tu-134 ). At the turn of the century, the name was changed to Kharkiv Airlines, but due to economic difficulties, the airline stopped operating in 2001. In 2012 the airline was bought by the DCH and acquired three western aircraft (two Boeing 737s and one Boeing 767 ) and received the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in June 2013 . Air Kharkov's first flight took place on June 6, 2013 from Kharkiv airport in Ukraine to Antalya airport in Turkey .

In March 2015, it was announced that Kharkiv Airlines had suspended flight operations until further notice.

Destinations

Kharkiv Airlines offers charter flights from Kharkiv to Antalya , Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada . Despite the current crisis in Ukraine , the airline has been offering daily scheduled flights from Kharkiv and Odessa to Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen Airport since October 2014 .
