Khassa Camara (born October 22, 1992 in Châtenay-Malabry ) is a Mauritanian - French football player .

Club career

Camara grew up in France and started playing football there. The player, mostly used in defensive midfield, wore the jersey of a club from Boulogne-Billancourt before he was accepted into the youth department of the professional club ES Troyes AC in 2007 . As an A-youth, he made it to the semi-finals of the Coupe Gambardella in 2011 and at around the same time played his first appearances for the club's reserve team in the fifth division. On March 16, 2013, the then 20-year-old made his professional debut in the first division when he came into play for Marcos in a 1-1 draw against HSC Montpellier in the 75th minute . On May 4th of the same year he was in the starting line-up for the first time in the 1-0 win against FC Évian Thonon Gaillard . This remained his only two first division matches for the time being, as he was relegated with Troyes at the end of the season.

After relegation to the second division in 2013, he signed a professional contract with Troyes, but in the following time was still mainly called up in the second team and only received sporadic match practice in the second division.

After he had hardly been considered for the first team in the first half of the 2014/15 season, he was awarded to the third division US Boulogne in January 2015 . In this, however, he was only called up occasionally before the loan ended the following summer. Camara then moved to the Greek second division Ergotelis . This was only a stopover, as he moved to the first division club Skoda Xanthi within Greece at the beginning of 2016 .

National team

A 0-0 in a friendly against Canada was Camara's first encounter on August 9, 2013, which he was allowed to play for the Mauritanian national team . This was followed by regular appointments for the 19-year-old at the time of his debut.
