Khordha is a city in the east of the Indian state of Odisha .

Khordha has had the status of a municipality since August 31, 2000 and is divided into 22 wards . The city was previously called Khurda . The urban area extends over an area of ​​25.84 km². Since the founding of the district of the same name on April 1, 1993, Khordha has been its administrative seat.

Khordha is located in the coastal plain 23 km southwest of Bhubaneswar , the capital of Odisha. The national highway NH 5 , which runs along the east coast of India, runs through the city.
