Kid3 is a free , cross-platform software for editing the meta information (composer, title, artist, etc.) in audio files.

The so-called tag editor supports various file formats such as MP3 , Ogg , FLAC , MPC , MPEG-4 (.mp4 / .m4a / .m4b), AAC , Opus , SPX , True Audio , APE , WavPack , WMA , WAV , AIFF and tracker modules .

Functions

  • Editing and converting between ID3v1.1 , ID3v2.3 and ID3v2.4 tags.
  • Access to all tag fields.
  • The tags of multiple files can be edited together.
  • Tags can be set from the file names or the content of other tags.
  • Files and directories can be renamed or created using the tags.
  • Create playlists .
  • Automatic conversion between upper and lower case letters, replacement of character strings.
  • Search and filter by tags.
  • Import the metadata from gnudb.org, TrackType.org, MusicBrainz , Discogs , Amazon and other sources.
  • Automated import of metadata and album covers for multiple albums from different sources.
  • Import based on the acoustic fingerprint with AcoustID.
  • Export tags as CSV , HTML , playlists , Kover XML and other formats.
