Kid Capri (born 7. February 1967 in the Bronx , New York , real name David Anthony Love ) is an American hip-hop - DJ .
biography
Kid Capri started scratching at the age of 8 . He later played in the nightclub Studio 54 and sold the sets he played in the evenings as mixtapes . He then got a contract with Warner Bros. Records , worked with Heavy D , Boogie Down Productions and Quincy Jones , among others , and was the DJ on Russell Simmons' television show Def Comedy Jam for 7 years .
In 1991 his first official studio album, The Tape, was released on Cold Chillin 'Records .
In 1998, Trackmasters Entertainment , distributed by Columbia Records , was Kid Capri's second album, Soundtrack to the Streets . This allowed him to position himself at number 135 on the Billboard 200 for a week .
As a result, he repeatedly made guest appearances on the works of various hip-hop artists and played live.
