Kilian Lipps preferred working technique for his sometimes very large-format works is oil painting as well as pastel chalk, watercolors and pencil on paper - he signed "Kili".
His works can be found in important art collections, galleries and museums, including Allgäu Museum Kempten (Allgäu) , Kornhausmuseum Weiler, Alpine Museum Munich, Frieder Burda Baden-Baden Collection and others
“There is something invisible, something deep, touching, mythical, eternal in Kilian Lipp's pictures. In the structure of his pictures he combines dynamism and statics, strength and calm, in strong color accents and with distinctive style. He approaches his motifs very closely, removing everything civilizational from his natural scenes - not a single detail too many, emptied down to the essentials. The reduction to the lowest common denominator increases the recognizability. Self-determination and freedom are key themes at Kilian Lipp. Behind the visible, the painter instinctively seeks and finds the eternal form, the archaic human being. He shows us a pure nature in dignity and duration. "
