Kill This Love is the second EP from the South Korean girl group Blackpink . It was initially released for download by YG Entertainment on April 5, 2019. The CDs were released on April 23, 2019. On October 16, 2019, Kill This Love was released again in Japan .

The release of the new EP was officially confirmed by YG Entertainment on March 18, 2019. At this point the group was busy shooting the music video for the new single. The release was originally planned for the end of March, but was later confirmed for April 5, 2019. Various teaser videos and pictures as well as further information about Kill This Love were published by the end of March . One day before the release it was announced that the album will initially only be available as a download. The CDs will hit stores on April 23rd.

Kill This Love is the first release in collaboration with Interscope Records . The contract with Interscope and the Universal Music Group was concluded in 2018.

The music video for the single of the same name set two records for itself on the video platform Youtube. At this point it was the most clicked video within the first 24 hours (56.7 million views) and reached 100 million views after just 62 hours and 15 minutes.

Overview of publications

Kill This Love was released in two different versions ("Black" and "Pink"). Each includes a photo book, a “Photo Zine”, a foldable card with lyrics, four photo cards, a Polaroid photo card, a set with stickers and two posters. The photo cards and posters are each selected at random.

Kill This Love -JP Ver.- was released in seven different versions. As a regular version with the complete group on the cover, an individual version of each group member and the two versions with the cover design and the inserts from the Korean edition.
