Kim Joo-hyuck (born October 3, 1972 in Seoul , † October 30, 2017 ) was a South Korean actor . He was best known for his roles in My Wife Got Married (2008), The Servant (2010) and Yourself and Yours (2016) and Confidential Assignment (2017). He also gained popularity through the television series Lovers in Prague (2005), God of War (2012) and Hur Jun, The Original Story (2013). He was also part of the regular cast of the third season of the variety show 2 Days & 1 Night .

Life

Kim was the son of actor Kim Mu-saeng . Like his father before, he also played the historical character of the Korean medical doctor Heo Jun .

On October 30, 2017, Kim Joo-hyuck died of a head injury as a result of a car accident. Two other films he was involved in are still in post-production. His girlfriend, actress Lee Yoo-young , who was 17 years his junior , was filming Running Man when she learned of the death. The shooting was then stopped.

For his last film, Believer (2018), which was only released after his death, he received the Grand Bell Award for Best Supporting Actor .
