Kim Jung-woo (born May 9, 1982 in Seoul ) is a South Korean football player .
Career
Kim Jung-woo began his professional career in 2003 at the Ulsan Hyundai Horangi club , with whom the midfielder won the K-League championship two years later . Following Kim spent two seasons in the Japanese League at Nagoya Grampus , before returning to the K-League in 2008 and joining Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma .
At the same time, Kim Jung-woo was that his international debut on 19 October 2003 against Vietnam was and in the Olympic football tournaments in 2004 in Athens and 2008 had participated in Beijing, an integral part of the senior national team of his country. Kim, initially only used as a substitute, secured himself a regular place thanks to strong performances and the absence of Kim Do-heon and Kim Nam-il . In February 2010, he was the captain of the team at the East Asian Championship that finished second behind the People's Republic of China.
From 2010 to 2011, Kim Jung-woo did his two-year military service with Gwangju Sangmu , a sports division of the South Korean military. In the summer of 2010 he took part with South Korea in the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa.
Following his military service, he returned to Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, but was only substituted on twice. Therefore, he moved in the following transfer period in 2012 to the reigning champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors , with whom he finished 2nd in the AFC Champions League in the same year .
From August 2013 to June 2014 he was in the United Arab Emiratean the Sharjah FC borrowed. The club from Sharjah played in the first division, the UAE Arabian Gulf League . He then played for league rivals Baniyas SC until February 2015 . After the end of his contract he was without a club until February 2017.
In February 2016 he went to Thailand . Here he signed a contract with BEC Tero Sasana . The club from the Thai capital played in the first division, the Thai Premier League . At the end of 2017 he ended his career as a football player.
