Kim Jung-ya ( Kor. 김정 야 ; born May 17, 1988 in Kobe ) is a South Korean football player .

Career

Kim Jung-ya learned to play football on the university team at Komazawa University in Tokyo . He signed his first professional contract with Gamba Osaka in 2011 . The Suita club played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . In 2012 he was in the final of the Kaiser Cup with the club . Here they lost 1-0 to Kashiwa Reysol . The 2013 season he was loaned to the league rivals Sagan Tosu to Tosu. For Tosu, he completed eight first division games. In 2014 he returned to Gamba Osaka after borrowing. In 2014 he celebrated the Japanese championship with Osaka, a year later he was runner-up with the club. He won the final of the J. League Cup in 2014 3-2 against Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 2015 and 2016 he was also in the final with the club. In 2015 they lost 3-0 to the Kashima Antlers and in 2016 they lost on penalties to Urawa Red Diamonds . After 70 first division games, he switched to Vegalta Sendai in Sendai, who also played in the first division . In 2018 he was back in the final of the Kaiser Cup. Here he lost 1-0 against the Urawa Red Diamonds.
