Kim Soo-hyun (born February 16, 1988 ) is a South Korean actor and singer.

Life

Kim Soo-hyun took part in several school plays as an actor during his high school years. He enrolled at Chung Ang University for theater and film studies and sang and performed in 2003 musicals Grease and A Midsummer Night's Dream . He became famous for his role as Sam-dong in the KBS -TV series Dream High and through participation as a fictional king of Joseon , Lee Hwon in MBC 's historical drama The Moon Embraces the Sun . With the series My Love from the Star , he reinforced his image as a heartthrob. In the drama he plays an alien who has been stuck on earth for 400 years and who falls in love with the actress Cheon Song-yi shortly before his planned return trip to his home planet . This is played by Jun Ji-hyun . Both played on one side in The Thieves (2012).

In 2013, Kim starred in the hit film Secretly, Greatly . In it he embodies a North Korean spy who, as a village idiot, keeps a low profile on South Korea. In 2015 he starred in the Mockumentary Producer . In 2017 he starred in the action film Real , which turned out to be a failure at the box office.

From October 2017 to July 2019 he did his military service . In 2020 he returned to television with the series It's Okay to Not Be Okay alongside Seo Yea-ji .
