Kimberly Ann McArthur (also Kim McArthur ; born September 16, 1962 in Fort Worth , Texas ) is a former American actress and former playmate . She was best known for the role of Kelly Capwell Conrad in the television series California Clan .

Life

Kimberly McArthur was born the youngest of three siblings. But the family broke up, and after their parents divorced, the children were raised by their mother alone. She studied dance , singing and drama at a university in her hometown of Fort Worth for a while, but eventually moved to Los Angeles .

Her career began in 1982 when she was named Playmate of the Month for the January issue of the US Playboy . As a result, Kimberly McArthur stayed with the magazine regularly during the 1980s, made it onto the front page three times from 1982 to 1984 , was also featured in various Playboy special editions and appeared in the first Playboy video productions. including in Playmate Review (1983) and in the music video Girls of Rock & Roll (1985), in which she interpreted the song Maybe Tonight .

During these years, Kimberly McArthur also starred in some feature films and television productions. So was Garry Marshall's film directing debut Kiss me, Doc was her film debut in 1982. Another small appearance in a film comedy , which primarily emphasized her physical charms, followed in 1983 in Monty, the millionaire heir . However, she had bigger roles in the B-movies Malibu Express (1985), a crime film , and Slumber Party Massacre (1987), a horror film . They also shot several commercials and appeared in the 1983 music video for A Cowboy's Dream by Mel Tillis on.

1988 she succeeded after the departure of Robin Wright , the role of Kelly Capwell Conrad in the NBC - soap opera Santa Barbara to obtain. After 76 episodes, however, her contract was not renewed in 1989, and when The Bakery , the pilot of a new television series, also failed in 1990 , McArthur finally withdrew from the film and television business.
