action

Takayuki Narumi is in 3rd year of high school. His classmates Mitsuki and Shinji are already busy studying for the university entrance exam, unlike Takayuki. The young and shy Haruka has fallen in love with Takayuki and through her best friend Mitsuki she can also confess her love to him. However, the relationship between the two doesn't go that well in the beginning as it seems that Takayuki isn't in love with them. Over time, however, his attitude changes and he really falls in love with her. However, this happiness does not last long. Since Takayuki was stopped by Mitsuki on her birthday and was persuaded by her to buy her a ring as a birthday present, he is late for his date with Haruka. After arriving late at the meeting point, he notices a crowd and an ambulance where he wanted to meet Haruka.

Takayuki sees a pool of blood on the floor and the unmistakable pink ribbon that Haruka mostly wears in her hair. However, only after the police officer present reports the accident on his radio and calls the name Haruka Suzumiya, it is clear that the pool of blood and the ribbon are from Haruka, who fell into a coma in a car accident. This is a hard blow to Takayuki, causing him to fall into a major depression. Because of his delay, he feels guilty for Haruka's accident. Mitsuki notices how Takayuki isolates himself more and more from the outside world and no longer really cares about himself. So she decides to take care of him. She can no longer suppress her feelings for him and confesses her love to him.

Three years later, Haruka wakes up from her coma and doesn't know that three years have already passed. She suffers from a kind of amnesia, which is why the attending doctor wishes not to mention this past time to Haruka. She wants to protect the fragile psyche of Haruka in order to prevent that she falls into a coma again. Since no time has passed for Haruka and she still loves Takayuki, Takayuki gets into a conflict of his feelings for Mitsuki and Haruka.
