Kirchamper is a church village in the northern district of Freising (Upper Bavaria). Kirchamper has been part of the town of Moosburg an der Isar since January 1, 1976.

geography

The place is north of the Amper between Niederambach and Inkofen , about 4 kilometers west of Moosburg an der Isar .

history

The early settlement is shown by the finds from the Middle Neolithic moat near Kirchamper. Kirchamper is mentioned in a document in the traditions of the Hochstift Freising between the years 1091 and 1098. The Catholic Church of St. Giles is a branch church of St. Michael in Inkofen . Structurally, it is a late Gothic hall building with a Romanesque choir just closing and a choir flank tower from the 15th century.

The chairman shaft Amper (= Kirchamper) was until the early 19th century, an important administrative center of the district court Moosburg . In the course of the formation of the community after the second community edict, the community Niederambach was formed in 1818 , which Kirchamper also belonged to. On January 1, 1976, the Niederambach community (with Oberambach, Feldkirchen and Kirchamper) was incorporated into Moosburg.
