Pfrombach is a parish village in the Freising district . The formerly independent municipality is now part of the city of Moosburg an der Isar and is located about six kilometers east of the city center of Moosburg on the Mittlere-Isar Canal .

history

Pfrombach is an old parish that was first mentioned between 1048 and 1068 in the traditions of the Tegernsee Monastery . The current church was built in the 15th century and redesigned in Baroque style in 1756.

With the Bavarian municipal edict of 1818, the political municipality of Pfrombach was set up, to which the town of Aich also belonged. The Pfrombach power plant is a hydropower plant on the Mittlere-Isar Canal that was opened in 1929. This is where the Altenerding – Pfrombach railway line built for its construction ended in 1967 . On January 1, 1978, the municipality was incorporated into the city of Moosburg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . In 1993 the commercial and industrial area Degernpoint was built as a new district in the former municipality of Pfrombachs.
