St. Michael in Inkofen

St. Michael is the Roman Catholic parish church of Inkofen , a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Haag an der Amper . The church is located on a wooded hill above the Amper, not far from Inkofen Castle .

building

The choir building is from the late Gothic period , but was changed in the Baroque era . In 1852 the nave was built in the form of a simple hall building with five semicircular closed windows.

The five-storey church tower stands on the north side of the choir and is structured with three pointed arches on each storey. The pointed helmet was created in the 19th century, while the tower itself was built in the 15th century.

Interior

The late baroque high altar dates from 1744. The left side altar is dedicated to the Mother of God , the right to St. Anthony of Padua . The pulpit dates from 1744.
