The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mückern is in Mückern , a district of Großenstein in the Greiz district in Thuringia . The parish Mückern belongs to the parish area Großenstein-Soon Park in the church district Altenburger Land of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The hall church has a late Romanesque choir tower . Its top floor has bifories , as does the floor below. The tower is covered with an eight-sided, slate-covered , pointed helmet , which is crowned by a tower ball . The nave, which is covered with a gable roof , is essentially Romanesque, but it was fundamentally redesigned in 1817.

The interior has three-sided galleries and is covered with a wooden beam ceiling. The triumphal arch has simple fighters . The organ was built into a prospect from the 18th century. It was created in 1901 by Adam Eifert . The instrument has 7 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal .
