history
The construction of a single-nave , rectangular stone church began around 1249 . In 1850 and 1966/1967 restorations of the church took place.
The church tower was built from brick in 1861 according to plans by Eduard Knoblauch from Berlin on a late Gothic field stone substructure and renovated in 1999. The tower has an eight-sided pointed copper helmet, the current roofing dates from 1989 to 1993.
From 1999, basic work was done in the church, so the church received a new tile roof, a new ceiling and a new floor, and the chairs were replaced.
The choir has a ribbed vault . The wall paintings from the beginning of the 14th century, which were uncovered in 1966/67 and show the creation of Eve, the fall of man and the expulsion from paradise, can be seen in three niches. The community hall has a flat wooden beam ceiling paneled in 1850.
The preserved grave slabs with coats of arms and inscriptions from 1315, 1357 and 1407 for members of the Horn family are among the oldest preserved grave monuments in Western Pomerania.
