Schwarzensee Church

The Evangelical Church Schwarzensee is a hall church in Schwarzensee , a district of the city of Strasburg (Uckermark) in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The church belongs to the provost Pasewalk in the parish of Pomerania of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .

location

The Schwarzensee road leads into the village from the northwest. There it spans the historic village green and leads out of the village in an easterly, but also in a north and south direction. The church stands in the middle of the village green on a slightly elevated plot of land with an abandoned church cemetery that is fenced in with a wall .

history

Fidicin described in his notes on the "Territories of the Mark Brandenburg" that the church patron Anton Dietlef von Arnim gave an order to build a new church. The church consecration took place on February 2, 1741, at the same time the local area Klepelshagen was parish off to Schwarzensee. After around 200 years, however , the half-timbered church had become dilapidated and was demolished in 1968. The baroque pulpit altar ended up in the village church of Wismar. The parish then built a new building in 1968 and 1969. Craftsmen used the original portal, the weather vane and a beam of the roof structure. The bell from 1743 was also adopted and the church consecration took place in the summer of 1969.

Building description

West portal

The building was made from bricks , which were then plastered . The nave has a rectangular floor plan; the east wall is windowless. On the north and south sides there are three simple and high-rectangular windows with slightly accentuated bezels . This is followed by a vestibule to the west. It is drawn in opposite the nave and also has a rectangular floor plan. In the west, craftsmen built the rectangular and wooden gate from the previous building. In the gable above there are two high rectangular sound arcades with a brick cross between them. The ship and annex have a simple gable roof . On the roof ridge between the ship and the annex there is a tower ball with the weather vane and cross, which also comes from the previous building.

Furnishing

The church furnishings are modern and extremely simple. A simple cross hangs on the east wall. The building has a flat roof inside. The bell from the previous building is in the tower.
