Seltz Church

The Seltz Church is a church building in the Seltz district of the municipality of Validz in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It belongs to the parish Altenhagen-VALZ in the provost's office Demmin of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District and is a branch church of the church in Validz .

The church is a field stone building on a rectangular floor plan from the 15th century. The eastern brick gable is structured with simple panels . Remains of the original window arches and a brick frieze can be seen on the north wall . In 1893 the church was fundamentally redesigned and the west wall with the wooden roof turret was renewed. The rectangular tower has a baroque dome and is clad with slate.

The pulpit from the 17th century as well as the sound cover and the altar cabinets from the 18th century have been preserved in Renaissance forms. An oil painting depicts the crucifixion of Christ . Like the bell cast in Stettin , it dates from the 18th century.

In the 1990s, the church was completely renovated.
