The Evangelical Lutheran listed church Weißbach is located in Weißbach , a district of the town of Schmölln in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia . The originally Gothic hall church was renewed after a village fire in 1603 and 1869. The slightly drawn-in choir ends on three sides . An eight - sided slate - covered roof turret rises from the gable roof , which is covered with a bulbous hood , which is continued in a lantern . The interior is covered with a flat ceiling. The pulpit from 1676 is on the gallery . The organ with 8 registers , distributed over a manual and pedal , was built by Christian Gottlob & Gotthold Heinrich Donati in 1793 and restored by Ernst Poppe & Sohn around 1830 .
