History and architecture

The Ktitoren (founder) of the church are the couple Milorad Savić and Ruža from the village. By building the church, the couple wanted to give their home village a gift and would like to be buried in the church. The construction of the church cost the Savic couple 80,000 KM (40,000 euros). The Stjepanović family donated the land to build the church .

The construction of the single-nave church with the dimensions 11 × 5 m began in 2007. The church is built of bricks and the roof is also covered with brick panels. The church has an altar - apse in the east and a steeple with a church bell in the west. A small, fenced churchyard extends around the church.

After two years of construction, the church was inaugurated on September 13, 2009 by the episcopes ( bishop ) of the Zvornik-Tuzla Vasilije (Kačavenda) eparchy and several other clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The church is not frescoed inside. The oak iconostasis was made by Aleksandar Ninković from the township of Modriča. The icons were painted by the icon painter Mina.

The priest of the church is the responsible parish priest of the parish Vranjak Slobodan Tošić .
