Kirill Gerassimenko (born December 18, 1996 in Aqmola ) is a Kazakh table tennis professional .

Career

Gerassimenko was a student at the Austrian table tennis school Werner Schlager Academy in Schwechat from the age of 14 . He played his first professional season in 2016 with the Austrian Bundesliga club Sportvereinigung Kapfenberg , where he achieved a result of 12 wins and 6 losses. He finished 6th in the individual ranking. In 2017 he switched to the table tennis Bundesliga for TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau , for which he achieved a score of 5:19 in the first season. As a representative of the host association, he was able to take part in the Grand Finals in 2017 , but was eliminated in the first round against Tomokazu Harimoto . He will join Werder Bremen for the 2019/20 season .

Gerassimenko played for Kazakhstan at the World Table Tennis Championships in 2012 , 2015 and 2017 . At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , he took part for Kazakhstan. In the preliminary round he had to admit defeat to Ádám Pattantyús from Hungary 1: 4 and was eliminated.
