Kirsi Välimaa (born October 15, 1978 in Jämijärvi ) is a former Finnish cross-country skier who competed between 1998 and 2008.

Career

Välimaa scored their only World Cup victory in a relay race in the Swedish Falun in the 2004/05 season . In addition, she was twice second and five times third with the season. Her best placings in the individual World Cup were third in the Oslo sprint in March 2003 and second in the Lahti sprint in March 2005. In the overall World Cup, she was 19th in the 2002/03 season and 13th in the Sprint World Cup 2004/05 season her best results. At the 2006 Winter Olympics , she finished 34th in the skiathlon. She achieved her best result at the Nordic World Ski Championships with fifth place in the relay race at the 2005 World Championships in Oberstdorf . Her best individual result at the World Championships in 2003 was a tenth place over the distance of ten kilometers. She won three times in the Continental Cup . She is married to the biathlete Timo Antila .
