The Kitschmenga ( Russian Ки́чменьга, Ки́чменга ) is a left tributary of the Jug on the northwestern edge of the North Russian Ridge in the Vologda Oblast in northwestern Russia .

The Kitschmenga has its source in a swamp northwest of Kalinovskaya . It flows in a wide arc first to the north, then to the west, then to the south and finally to the east. After 208 km she meets the Jug coming from the south near Kitschmengski Gorodok . The Kitschmenga drains an area of 2330 km². Between November and April the river is covered by a layer of ice. The subsequent spring flood makes a significant contribution to the annual runoff. The mean discharge at the Sakharovo gauge , 20 km above the mouth, is 17.7 m³ / s. The most important tributary is the Swetiza from the right.
