The Kizer Island (or Kizer Island ) is an icy and about 24 km long island in the Marshall Archipelago off the Saunders coast of Marie-Byrd Land . It is located 16 km southwest of Cronenwett Island at the western end of the Sulzberger Ice Shelf .
The United States Geological Survey and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965 were used to map it. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1966 after Lieutenant Theodore Louis Kizer (* 1936), helicopter pilot on the icebreaker USS Glacier in 1962.
