Kjetil Sæter (born May 5, 1971 ) is a Norwegian former biathlete .

Kjetil Sæter achieved his first international success when he won the bronze medal in the team race together with Kjell Ove Oftedal and Dag Bjørndalen in Sodankylä at the Biathlon Junior World Championships in 1990 . In 1996 he made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup in Östersund and immediately won World Cup points as 20th of the individual. Further missions followed until 1998 , but in which he won no more points. Sæter achieved his greatest international success at the European biathlon championships . In 1997 he won the silver medal in the relay competition in Windischgarsten with Stig-Are Eriksen , Lars-Sigve Oftedal and Kjell Ove Oftedal, a year later he won silver in Minsk with Kim Skutbergsveen Bård Mjølne and Stig-Are Eriksen behind Germany.

Nationally Sæter won 1990 with Tommy Olsen and Frode Løberg for Hedmark , starting with team silver, his first medal at the Norwegian championships. In 1991 he won silver with the team and bronze in the relay race, in 1994 he won the team title with Kjetil Storsveen , Dag Ivar Hovde and Frode Løberg. In 1996 he was third team, also in 1997 with the team and the relay. His teammates included Rolf Storsveen , Jon Per Nygaard and Helge Sveen .
