The steam locomotive series kkStB 560 was a freight train - and passenger - Tender Locomotive series of kkStB , originally from the StEG came. More precisely, there was a wet steam variant (560.01–34) and a wet steam composite variant (560.51–71).

The StEG started several tests on 1C locomotives around 1900 , which should be suitable for both freight and passenger train service. The wet steam engines 37.01-21 were delivered from 1900 to 1902 . The 37.22–34 had a slightly modified boiler and were delivered in 1906 . As a composite variant, the 37.51–71 came from 1900 to 1902 for delivery. The supplier was the StEG's own locomotive factory .

After the First World War , the FS series was assigned as  607 and ČSD as  344.3 (wet steam) and  334.2 (composite). During the Second World War the associated Reichsbahn some 344.3 as 54 5 a.

After various modifications, the locomotives of this series were in use at ČSD until the 1960s .
