The steam locomotive series kkStB 86 was a tank locomotive series of the Austrian kk state railways .

In the three machines, supplied by Krauss in Linz in 1905 and 1908 , the only difference between the first and the other two was a smaller grate area. All three were oil-fired and joy-controlled. The locomotives were designed for economical traffic on local railways (the 86.02-03 were intended for the local railroad Krainburg - Neumarktl , for example ), but could not prevail, so there were no reorders.

After 1918 the machines were assigned to the PKP and the railways of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes . The JDŽ classified it as  161 , while the PKP did not assign it its own series number.

Finally it should be noted that the kkStB had already used the series number 86 to designate two locomotives. These were but 1,889 in 85 redrawn .08-09.
