The steam locomotives of the class 91 were steam locomotives of the kkStB . The two-cylinder - wet steam -Lokomotiven with the axle formula  C were from Wiener Neustadt locomotive factory in 1876 delivered.

The machines with the numbers 91.01-07 were taken over by the kkStB from the Niederösterreichische Südwestbahnen , where they had the numbers 1B-7B as series B , when they were nationalized in 1878. The machines were refueled after 1887 (see table).

After the First World War , the BBÖ took over all locomotives while retaining the series and serial numbers.

The BBÖ temporarily leased the 91 series locomotives with the numbers 01, 02, 03, 05 and 07 to GySEV from 1923 to 1931 .

The last locomotive in this series was retired in 1936.

The locomotives were coupled with tenders of the NÖSWB series B.
