Klara Andrijašević

Klara Andrijašević (born February 18, 2001 ) is a Croatian athlete who specializes in middle-distance running.

Career

She first took part in the Croatian Athletics Championships in 2017. At the championships in Zagreb on July 8, 2017, she started in the 1,500-meter run and was able to win the title over this distance in 4: 44.93 minutes as a 16-year-old. One day later she started the 3000 meter run and missed a medal with fourth place. Due to her good results, she was nominated for the European Youth Olympic Festival 2017 in Győr , Hungary . She started there over 1500 meters and set a new personal best in the final with a time of 4: 31.30 minutes. In the end result, she took sixth place with this time.

On February 24, 2018, she started in Zagreb at the Croatian indoor championships over the 1500 meters and set a new personal best with a time of 4: 43.80 minutes. This time was enough for the runner-up title behind Paula Rakijašić . At the Split Easter Athletic Meeting, she set a new personal best in the 800 meter run . In 2: 16.60 minutes she finished third in the race.

For Croatia she took part in the U18 European Championships 2018 in Győr and reached twelfth place on July 6, 2018 over the 3000 meters in a time of 9: 46.00 min. Between July 20th and 21st she took part in the Balkan Championships in Stara Sagora . After she had already improved her personal best in the 3000 meter run at the U18 European Championships , she was able to increase this best time again on July 20, 2018 to 9: 43.53 minutes and thus finished fourth. A day later she started in the 1500 meter run and again missed a medal in fourth. In the 1500 meter race, she set a new personal best over this distance with 4: 27.45 minutes.

She took part in the Croatian championships in 2018 and started there in both the 1500-meter run and the 3000-meter run . On July 28, 2018, she started the 1500 meters and was able to defend her title from the previous year. One day later she started over the 3000 meters and took third place behind Bojana Bjeljac and Matea Parlov .
