Klaus-Peter Kelber (born February 25, 1944 in Würzburg ) is a German fossil collector and paleontologist specializing in paleobotany .

Life

Klaus-Peter Kelber initially worked as a chemographer and soldier on a temporary basis , as a musician, color lithographer and finally as a photographer, draftsman and webmaster at the Institute for Mineralogy at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg . From 1973 onwards, collecting and excavating fossil plant remains from the Tertiary of the Rhön and the Franconian Keuper and their research and scientific description as an amateur. Design and participation in exhibitions on fossil Keuper plants in Würzburg (1990), Weimar (1993) and Heilbronn (1995). Likewise, studies of the history of science on the geology of Franconia and Würzburg, from 1997 design of the link directory "Links for Palaeobotanists" on the Internet.

Research priorities

He publishes in scientific journals in particular on taphonomy , biostratigraphy and paleoecology of the germanotypic Triassic flora.
