Klaus Borck (born October 13, 1942 in Grünberg / Silesia ; † July 19, 2009 in Jena ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Thuringian state parliament.

Life and work

After graduating from school in 1960, he began a two-year gardening apprenticeship at Chrestenen in Erfurt . From 1962 to 1964 he worked as a landscape designer in Nauen . He then began studying at an engineering school in Greifswald , which he completed with a degree in engineering. Then he was u. a. works as construction manager at the melioration cooperative in Bad Langensalza .

Borck was married twice and leaves behind 3 children (Marcus, Barbara, Bastian) from his first marriage and 1 child (Paula) from his second marriage.

politics

Borck joined the SPD in January 1990. In the legislative period from 1994 to 1999 he was a member of the Second Thuringian Parliament . In 1991 Borck became chairman of the Bad Langensalza local association and was district chairman of the SPD in 1992/93. From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of parliament and deputy district council president in what was then the Bad Langensalza district. After the district reform in Thuringia , he belonged to the district council of the new Unstrut-Hainich district and held the function of chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.
