Klaus Daubertshäuser

Klaus Daubertshäuser (born October 16, 1943 in Krofdorf-Gleiberg ; † June 9, 2008 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and rail manager. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1976 to 1994 and the board of Deutsche Bahn AG from 1994 to the end of 2005.

education and profession

After an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Rinn & Cloos , he became assistant to the executive board. In 1973 he went to Wiesbaden as a ministerial advisor.

politics

In 1968 he was elected to the municipal council for the SPD and also took over the parliamentary group chairmanship. After his election to the Wetzlar district council, he became parliamentary group chairman there in 1972. In 1976 he became a member of the German Bundestag , in 1980 he was the transport policy spokesman for his parliamentary group and in 1983 a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee. As a direct candidate , he represented the constituency (then constituency number 132 and 130) of Lahn-Dill, Biebertal and Wettenberg four times and was elected once on the Hesse state list. In November 1994 he left the Bundestag.

From 1988 to 1993 Daubertshäuser was a member of the board of directors of the Deutsche Bundesbahn . From 1991 to 1993 he was also a member of the administrative board of the Deutsche Reichsbahn , since July 1, 1994 a member of the board of directors of Deutsche Bahn AG . Until March 31, 2000, he was in the field of transport responsible and at the same time from 1 July 1999 CEO of DB Regio AG . After that, he was a board member responsible for Marketing and Political Relations until his health-related retirement at the end of 2005. Otto Wiesheu became his successor.

Private

Daubertshausen was married and had three children. He died at the age of 64 from complications from a cerebral haemorrhage .
