Klaus Fehrmann

Klaus Fehrmann (born June 13, 1935 in Leipzig ; † July 22, 2003 ) was a German politician of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) and an economic functionary in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). He was Kombinat and General Director of VE Kombinat Deko Plauen and from 1981 to 1989 a member of the People's Chamber .

Life

Fehrmann, the son of an office clerk and a freight forwarder, studied at the University of Leipzig after graduating from high school and became a graduate economist in 1957 .

Until 1960 Fehrmann was an economist at VEB Thüringische Teppichfabriken in Münchenbernsdorf and then went to VVB Deko Plauen . There he was a personal advisor until 1963, head of the planning department until 1965, assistant to the operations director in 1967 and in the same year became operations director of VEB Tüllgardinen- und Spitzenwerke in Dresden .

1970/71 Fehrmann was plant director of VEB Plauener Spitze in the Dresden plant, 1972/73 head of the scientific management department of VVB Deko Plauen , 1974–76 deputy general director and 1976–90, as successor to Kurt Schmidt , general director of VVB Deko Plauen ( later VE Kombinat Deko Plauen ).

Fehrmann had been a member of the SED since 1961 and studied in 1973/74 at the party college of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in Moscow . In 1973 he was promoted to Dr. oec. doctorate and elected to the People's Chamber in 1981.

After the turning point and the peaceful revolution in the GDR , Fehrmann lost all functions until 1990.
