Klaus Grohe (born April 3, 1937 ) is a German entrepreneur .

Life and professional history

Klaus Grohe was born in 1937 as the youngest son of Hans Grohe in his third marriage to Emma Wolber. He attended boarding school and then studied economics and business administration. In 1968 he joined his father's company, Hansgrohe . At first he was responsible for the management of sales until he took over the management in 1975 and held this post until 2008. He then headed the Supervisory Board of Hansgrohe SE until 2015.

Klaus Grohe's three sons also worked in the family business: Richard Grohe (* 1965) as Deputy CEO, Philippe Grohe (* 1967) as manager of the AXOR brand and Pierre Nicolas Grohe (* 1975) as Global Key Account Manager. Richard Grohe has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Hansgrohe SE since 2018.

In 2001 the local council of Schiltach , seat of Hansgrohe SE, decided to make Klaus Grohe an honorary citizen .

In spring 2012, Klaus Grohe became a major shareholder of Solar-Fabrik in Freiburg with a little more than 10 percent of the shares and then a member of the supervisory board. According to Manager Magazin , he is one of the 500 richest Germans . In 2017, the Klaus Grohe family was 344th with assets of 500 million euros.
