Klaus Lehmann (born December 30, 1939 in Prestewitz ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR football game. He played there for SC Aufbau Magdeburg and BSG Stahl Riesa . With the SC structure, Lehmann won the GDR Cup in 1964 .

When SC Aufbau Magdeburg, the forerunner of 1. FC Magdeburg , competed in the GDR league for the first time in 1960, 20-year-old Klaus Lehmann was also part of the line-up, which coach Fritz Wittenbecher had deliberately put together from young players. In the following years, the Magdeburg were able to assert themselves in the league, but always placed in the lower half of the table. The Elbestädter won their first title in 1964 when they won the GDR soccer cup. Klaus Lehmann stood as a center forward in the team of SC Aufbau, which defeated SC Leipzig 3-2 in the cup final on June 13, 1964 . It was also his last competitive game for Magdeburg. After completing 43 league games for the club in four years, he said goodbye to the league and at the beginning of the 1964/65 season he joined the Stahl Riesa company sports club , whose football team was promoted to the second-rate GDR league only a year ago .

The 1.80 m tall Lehmann, who had meanwhile also completed a degree in mechanical engineering, played in Riesa both as a defender and in attack. He competed in the second division for four years, but in the 1967/68 season the steelworkers were promoted to the top division. Lehmann had played 20 of the 30 point games in the promotion season and contributed two goals. Riesa was represented in the league in the following four seasons, Lehmann was in the squad of the league team until 1970. In the 1969/70 season he was again in great form and with nine goals was not only the top scorer of his team, but also came in fourth in the league scorer this season. When he then said goodbye to high-performance sport, he had played another 47 league games in Riesa and scored 15 goals.
