Klaus Michael Rückert

Klaus Michael Rückert (born April 11, 1967 in Bad Cannstatt ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from high school in 1986 in Leonberg, he first briefly studied medicine in Tübingen and then law in Tübingen and Munich . From 1995 to 1997 Rückert worked as a lawyer in a Stuttgart law firm before moving to the policy department of the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry . In addition, he received his doctorate in 1998 in Tübingen on the subject of "Environmental clauses in public law contracts - design opportunities for the municipalities?"

From 1999 he was first alderman in Weil der Stadt . In 2001 he ran unsuccessfully against Wolfgang Leidig for the office of Lord Mayor of Schwäbisch Gmünd . Rückert then moved to Baden-Baden as first mayor in 2003 , but was defeated by his CDU party colleague Wolfgang Gerstner in the 2006 mayor election in Baden-Baden . In 2008 he was appointed Vice President of the Karlsruhe Regional Council. 2010, Rückert put in the election for district administrator of the district Freudenstadt through the first ballot. On June 11, 2018, Klaus Michael Rückert was confirmed in his office for a further eight years by the Freudenstadt District Council.

In his role as District Administrator, Rückert, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hospitals Landkreis Freudenstadt gGmbH, Chairman of the Administrative Board of Kreissparkasse Freudenstadt, Chairman of the National Park Council of the Black Forest National Park, Vice President of the Baden-Württemberg Tourism Association, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH, member of the Administrative Board of Oberschwäbischen Electricity works (OEW).

Rückert is married and has two daughters.
