Klaus Ottens (born January 4, 1966 in Ankum ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

player

Klaus Ottens played from 1987 for the association league club VfL Herzlake . The following season he moved to the Bundesliga club FC St. Pauli ; Ottens played 25 games there in his first season. In the following years, Ottens got less and less attention at St. Pauli. Relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1990/1991 season didn't change that. After the 1992/1993 season he moved to the Oberliga Nord, where he was able to achieve nine goals for VfL 93 Hamburg in the 1993/94 season . After a move to SV Lurup , which lasted only a short time, Ottens returned to VfL 93 during the 1994/95 season and played a total of 46 games (12 goals) in the Regionalliga Nord for the club from Hamburg-Winterhude . In the summer of 1996 Ottens moved to Hannover 96. For the relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga , the Ankumer completed only eight matches under coach Reinhold Fanz and thus had only a small sporting share in the Lower Saxony regional league championship .

Ottens had two stations as a trainer. He trained the U-17s of SV Lurup and TuS Heeslingen .
