Klaus Pitter (* 1947 in Timelkam , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian cartoonist and illustrator .

life and work

Klaus Pitter grew up as the son of the local school principal in Timelkam , in whose school he was born, later in Seewalchen am Attersee . From 1968 to 1972 he studied graphics in Prof. Herbert's master class at the University of Applied Arts and has lived in Vienna ever since .

Pitter works as a freelance cartoonist and illustrator and published a. a. in the magazines Konsument , Trend , NEUES FORVM (under the direction of Günther Nenning ), kraut & rüben, the Austrian Literature Forum , the Swiss B-Post and the newspapers Kurier and Wirtschaftsblatt .

In addition, he designed the Austrian children's magazine Wunderwelt for years , illustrated numerous school and non-fiction books, the children's book series Umweltspürnasen , several books in the rororo- tomato series , as well as a children's television series for ORF . In addition to books, he also publishes the magazine "Kartoonfabrik", for which he is responsible, at irregular intervals.
