Klaus Schedl
Klaus Schedl (born January 4, 1966 in Stuttgart ) is a German composer .
Life
From 1991 to 1996, Klaus Schedl studied composition with Hans-Jürgen von Bose at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and at the State University for Music and Theater in Munich. In 1993 he founded the Munich Ensemble for New Music piano possibile . From 1998 he was a lecturer in analysis a. a. at the Coimbra Conservatory . In 1999 he settled in London and in 2001 a scholarship from the Free State of Bavaria took him to the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, where he took courses in music electronics at the IRCAM . He currently lives in Munich .
In 1996 and 2003 he received the music grant and in 2005 the project grant for new media from the City of Munich for City Scan: Munich, which premiered in 2006 as part of the Munich Biennale for Music Theater. In 2010 he attracted international attention with his music theater "Tilt" as part of the Amazonas project of the Munich Biennale in Munich, São Paulo and Rotterdam. In spring 2011, the complete cycle Les Fleurs du Mal after Charles Baudelaire, on which he has been working since 2008, was performed for the first time.
